We had a festival on Sunday. A lovely little neighbourhood festival that reached out to three homes, bringing live music to backyards and living rooms. The audience made their way from one house to the next, and the musicians got to play and sing their hearts out.

We had a stage under the big birch tree in the garden – the others, in a corner of the living room and right at the shore of the lake. All chairs, benches and stools were found and carried outside. People came on foot and by bike, some had come a longer way, others just from next door. August really made an effort and gave us the prettiest day in a while: the sun was bright in the sky, and a cool wind from the lake gave a bit of relief from the heat. Everything and everyone was friendly. You could just make yourself at home and listen.

A very good Sunday in every way – when can we do it again?
